JAMIE BOLTON
Jamie is a 2nd degree Black belt in kickboxing and advance defensive techniques. He is one of the most advance instructors at the club, highly flexible especially with his kicks and yet lethal in the execution of his techniques. Here is a guy who is so quiet and laid back that he could easily be mistaken for an easy walk over target, don’t be deceived by his appearance, definitely not the type of guy to be on the wrong side off and yet he is such a nice guy whose temper cost him the British Full contact kickboxing title a few years ago. Jamie is truly as nice as anyone can be and a brilliant instructor. You need to watch him in action.

PHIL WAKE
With this guy, I’m lost for words. Like Jamie above, Phil is also a 2nd degree Black belt and an advance Instructor at the Academy. He joined the Academy a few years ago as an adult student and was primarily interested in learning a few defensive techniques needed for his job at the time as a care taker at Wickersley Comprehensive School. He now works with the NHS. He participated in the training sessions which most people found very demanding physically and coped quite well. In fact so much so that I convinced him to go through his grading which he did and quite enjoyed. The memorable turning point of his martial arts career was when he took his Brown belt and performed with excellence. I made his grading as difficult as I possibly could both physically, mentally and technically and he passed with flying colours and continued to perform superbly and hence a 2nd degree Black belt Instructor, |
